Garry Pinches is a percussionist, composer, sound designer & tutor based inNuneaton, Warwickshire in the United Kingdom. Garry has been performing professionally for many years, working with orchestras, brass bands, jazz ensembles, choirs, musical theatre groups, solo artists and rock bands. He has performed in venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham and countless others throughout Europe. As a session musician and sound technician Garry has worked with and supported many well known acts, the most recent of which being Sir Bob Geldof. In 2005 Garry graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester with a BA (Hons) degree in Music, Technology and Innovation.
During his time at university he worked as a sound recordist for film, received commissions for audio-visual installations from the Heymarket Theatre Leicester and worked with the BBC on sound recording and composition projects.
After his degree Garry worked as a composer and sound designer on independent film and animation projects in the UK, Canada and the United States. During this time he worked alongside the up and coming American Director Ian Hubert on his epic feature 'Ideality' and the web series 'SBFP' (Spacemen Belong in the Future Probably)
Garry is now a part time lecturer, teaching drum kit and percussion for North Warwickshire & Hinckley college and Bedworth Music Centre. When he's not teaching he can be found performing alongside singer/songwriter April Elizanbeth.
